Celebrating the life of

Kathryn (Katie) Sandefur Pilcher

March 30, 1984 - December 25, 2025

Kathryn (Katie) Sandefur Pilcher

Kathryn “Katie” Morgan Sandefur Pilcher passed away on December 25, 2025. Katie was born on March 30, 1984 in Savannah, GA. She lived in Savannah her entire life, graduated from St. Vincent’s Academy, and had worked at Memorial Hospital in labor and delivery as a surgical tech.

Katie will be missed by her husband Frank Pilcher, Jr. and their two sons Jacob and Clayton, who were the light of her life, and her beloved dog Quinn, who was the star of many of her creative TikTok videos.

Katie was a gentle soul with a kind heart, clever sense of humor, and a love for animals. She loved to lose herself to good music, especially Dave Matthews Band, and spend time exploring her natural talent creating original pieces of woodwork and art that will be cherished by her friends and family forever.  Her quiet nature allowed her to appreciate the more simple beauties in life like the oak trees draped in moss and the squirrels that inhabit them.  Katie took decorating for Halloween quite seriously despite her early childhood fear of the Wizard of Oz witch. She could spend hours laughing at the antics of the Golden Girls, and even made sure to include her favorite characters among the Halloween décor skeleton crew!

Katie is survived by her husband  of 16 years Frank Pilcher, Jr., sons Jacob and Clayton Pilcher;  parents Janie and Chuck Sandefur;  sisters  Carol Branan and Amy Norris (Byron); aunts Sandy Sandefur and Penny Ginn;  parents–in-law Patricia and Frank Pilcher, Sr.; sisters-in-law Shelly Lamont (Donald) and Toni Pilcher; and numerous cousins, nieces , and nephews.

Katie is predeceased by grandparents Mary Frances and Dr. Harvey Morgan, Kay and Fred Sandefur; uncle Harvey Morgan, Jr.; and grandmother-in-law Elaine Tuten.

The world lost a beautiful soul far too soon. Rest in peace, Katie. You will be missed by many.

I met Katie 20 years ago. We only stayed in touch through social media, but it's funny how you can meet someone at a single, finite moment in your life and carry them with you forever. Truly kind people leave an imprint on everyone they touch. Katie left one on my heart that will never fade. I am so honored to have known her. Rest in peace, babe. Your mark on this world was truly beautiful.
